ABOUT RAINBOW SAINTS FC
Rainbow Saints F.C. is an inclusive football club representing the City of Southampton. We are a mixed gender club, welcoming all ability levels of players from 18+. As an LGBTQI+ club, we offer a safe place to feel comfortable playing football without fear of judgment. All identities are welcome to join, as long as they have a kind heart and are supportive of everyone within the club.
We run training sessions every Tuesday evening, offering coaching to help players develop their skills and game understanding, whilst ensuring the session is based on fun and enjoyment. Sessions are open to players of all levels and are designed to allow everyone success.
Competitive football is played in the South West Pride Football League for those looking to play a higher standard against LGBTQI+ teams from across the South and South West Region. Whilst, we have a strong standard of players in the team, we support other players to improve to compete at this standard.
How we Began
In 2024 Saints Foundation started LGBTQI+ football sessions as part of their ‘SO14 Active’ regeneration project in and around St. Mary’s Stadium. Whilst providing a safe space to enjoy football, they also won tournaments in Bournemouth and London in 2026.
In May 2026, the players formed an LGBTQI+ inclusive football club supporting players of all levels and identities to enjoy playing football in a safe environment whilst playing league football and tournaments wearing the Southampton F.C. home kit.
